In the field of the rural aged research, scholars often use words such as the level, quality, welfare and so on to describe the rural aged's situation, but there are rarely specialized researches about the criteria for evaluating the support level of the rural aged's.However,in the fields of economics and demography, there are already a lot of researches on the quality of life, living standard and the index systems of them, which provides a methodological reference for how to set the evaluating criteria.Aiming at an exploratory combination of the above two research fields, this study puts forward the topic of "construction and application of the evaluation index system of the rural aged's support level from the individual perspective" to evaluate the rural aged's support level using micro indexes, and then analyze the individual factors which influence the rural aged's support level. Finally this study will complete a relatively rigorous research about the evaluation index system of the rural aged's support level. This study is based on the theory of the aged's resources proposed by Mu Guangzong?2000?,which means that economic, care and spiritual resources can represent the rural aged's support level. This study selects 8 key indexes which reflect the economic, care and spiritual resources of the rural aged from 21 resource indexes by factor analysis method, then constructs the evaluation index system of the rural aged's support level based on the CHARLS national baseline survey data in 2013.The final index system contains four dimensions: children's care?0.309?,personal economic?0.246?,self-care?0.229?,spiritual satisfaction?0.216?.The connotation of the four dimensions show that the rural aged's support level is inseparable from the economic, physical, spiritual condition and children's care of the rural aged own.The first dimension shows that the children characteristic of the system is obvious, especially the children's care is the largest dimension of the weight. The last three factors show that the individual characteristics of the evaluation index system of the support level are also can not be neglected. The aged themselves and their children are the subjects that determine the level of support. The researcher used the index system to evaluate overall support level?F?of the each rural aged and four components of the overall support level, namely children's care level?F1?,personal economic level?F2?,self-care level?F3?,spiritual satisfaction level?F4?of the each rural aged in the sample, then described and contrasted the present situation of the rural aged with different ages, sexes, marital status, living style and labor status using cross-analysis,leading to the certain cognition of the status and characteristics of the distribution of the whole and the part of the rural aged's support level. On the basis of the analysis of the present situation, the researcher used the scores of children's care level, personal economic level,self-care level, spiritual satisfaction level and overall support level as the dependent variables and the age, sex, marital status, living style and labor status as the independent variables to establish multiple linear regression models. The following conclusions were obtained: First, the children's care level of the rural aged who is male,non-spouse,living with their children is higher;second, the personal economic level of the rural aged who is younger, male, living with children is higher;third, the self-care level of the rural aged who is younger, male, having a spouse, still participating in labor is higher;fourth, the spiritual satisfaction level of the rural aged who is older,female,non-spouse,not living with their children, out of labor is higher;fifth, the overall support level of the rural aged who is older,male,non-spouse,living with children, still participating in labor is higher.
