The Comparative Study Of The Totality Ideology Between Lukacs And Marx

Even Marx did not specially elaborate overall ideology, but in each period, all of his texts include rich overall ideology and are systematic. In a word, Marx's overall ideology includes the following aspects: the unity of nature and society, the collective of society,history and human. At the beginning of the twentieth, according to the status quo of proletariat, Lukacs defined the essence of Marxism as totality-dialectic. By reading Marx,Lukacs formed his own overall ideology, based on combining the features of times. There are four aspects of Lukacs' overall ideology: the totality of concrete, the totality of history,the unity of subject and object and totality-dialectic is revolutionary dialectics. The overall ideology of Lukacs and Marx were born in the background of capitalist society, they have same logic starting-point and logic-end, so there are many similarities. But Lukacs and Marx lived in different stage of capitalist society and faced with different revolutionary tasks, so there are also differences. The overall ideology of similarities and differences between Lukacs and Marx make stronger comparable.The paper has compared the overall ideology between Lukacs and Marx from four aspects. The first is the comparison of generating condition, in this section, Lukacs and Marx criticized the capitalist society, and their overall ideology was influenced by Hegel.But Lukacs paid more attention to ideology crisis. The second is comparison of alienation(reification) theory. The cognition of alienation (reification) was the logic starting-point of Lukacs and Marx's totality, they were all hold the view that only totality ideology can eliminate the alienation. But thanks to the misunderstanding about reification, the totality ideology of Lukacs carried with utopian concept. The third is the comparison of revolutionary thought. Lukacs and Marx thought only proletariat can realize the unification of the subject and object, but Marx focused on the practice of the proletariat while Lukacs focused on the consciousness of the proletariat. The last is comparison of the thought of human development. Lukacs and Marx paid their attention to the totality of the human, and the communist society is their same logic end. But, Lukacs thought nature as a social category in order to satisfy his' curiosity. However he deal with the relationship of human and nature on error and the argument of the communist society divided the relationship between ideal and reality, so he strayed from Marx to some extent.The comparison between Lukacs and Marx's overall ideology not only help reader to get rid of the misunderstandings, but also make Marx's totality ideology from a covert category to an overt category.
