Study On The Spiritual Consolation Of The Immigrant Elderly By Case Work

In the current background of accelerated population migration and rapidly advancing of the aging process,among them,there is a group of people is getting a lot of attention,they are the elderly who leave their original residence temporarily for various reasons to follow their children and live in city,they are known as immigrant elderly.This group follow their children into the city,they not only have to bear the brunt of a new life environment adaption,but also spiritual needs are not being met,namely the spiritual consolation.The question of how to deal with the spiritual consolation of the immigrant elderly is a matter of urgent concern.The author through the investigation of the immigrant elderly from B community in Linyi city found that due to the weakening of family emotional support,the lack of support for neighborhood friends,the community to ignore the spiritual comfort,the elderly and other reasons,the spiritual consolation problem appears,like their own personality is not respected,their emotional comfort is lacked and their self-worth can not achieved.Based on Maslow's theory of demand hierarchy and social support theory,the author explores the effective way to solve the problem of spiritual consolation with the elderly through the case work.The whole thesis is divided into four parts.The first part includes the research background,purpose,meaning,method,literature review and theoretical basis.The second part is through the non-structural interview to know the spiritual consolation problem about the elderly,analyzing the reasons and the advantage of case work involved.The third part of the paper is the practical exploration about the case L by case work,based on rational emotional treatment and structured family therapy and other models to put forward solutions.The fourth part is mainly to reflect the spiritual consolation of the immigrant elderly and then sum up the recommendations.By providing professional service to the case,the problem of spiritual solace is improved.Although there are shortcomings,but it shows that this study is feasible and effective,it's for the practice to solve the problem of spiritual needs about immigrant elderly can provide reference,and enrich the social work practice research of immigrant elderly,at the same time put forward new perspective about pension,theauthor also hope that more and more attention to the immigrant elderly.
