| In recent years, with the rapid development of China's economy and society and the deepening of urbanization process, the population of the major Chinese cities is expanding and the social class structure is changing constantly, which brings new challenges to urban governance. At present, lots of Chinese cities rely on the traditional administrative system to complete the urban governance. However it is criticized for many disadvantages by citizens and needs to make innovations. Holistic governance theory is a new theory of public governance with coordination and integration as the core following the new public management theory. Many scholars believe that the holistic governance theory has important enlightenment and reference value to innovations of urban governance mechanism in China. How to make innovations of urban governance mechanism in China under the guide of holistic governance theory is a new question and has a very important theoretical and practical significance.How to integrate the holistic governance theory with the current situation of urban governance mechanism in China to achieve the innovations of urban governance system is the main question in this paper.This paper first systematically expounds the definition and main theoretical points of holistic governance theory, and then discusses the ideas of urban governance mechanism innovation in China based on the theory of holistic governance. This paper takes the "Big Linkage" mechanism of Shanghai Minhang district, which is a famous innovation mechanism in China, as the case to make case study. This paper introduces the specific information of the "Big Linkage" mechanism of Shanghai Minhang district and analyzes the compatibility between the case and holistic governance. Than this paper finds out some disadvantages of the "Big Linkage" mechanism of Shanghai Minhang district. Finally, it puts forward some suggestions to improve the "Big Linkage" mechanism of Shanghai Minhang district. |
