The Study Of People's Mediation System Of Urban Community

Since ancient times,where someone exists,the dispute cannot be avoided.Ancient Chinese famous thinker Xunzi once said: people had a desire from the day of birth.If the desire was not met,people would think of ways to compete,ultimately the competition would inevitably lead to confusion.Now that disputes cannot be avoided,how to solve them is a very important issue.In the process of social development,people gradually explore a road,the mediation.Mediation has a long history in our country.It is not only a way to resolve disputes,but also a specific historical and cultural product.Confusion emphasizes “Moderation” “Moral of indisputable” and peace in the relationship of interpersonal.This thought was also used by the rulers of the dynasties to maintain their own dictatorship and local peace.So history books had the record of civil mediation from long ago.But the mediation then was only scattered in the private experience and not be up to the institutional level.With the changing times,we move from tradition to modern.Mediation is also changing with the development of our society.It is becoming a system and carries on playing the important role.China's urbanization process is becoming faster and faster,many old rural areas have developed into urban communities.Conflicts between people because of interest and emotional disputes are more often found in these communities.Using our traditional mediation in the community is beneficial not only to protect the interests of the parties with high efficiency and low cost,but to promote solidarity and ease the contradictions.Ultimately we can realize the stability of the whole society.It conforms to our general requirements for building a harmonious socialist society with Chinese characteristics.So promoting community mediation is necessary.Currently,China has several types of community people mediation playing active roles.This article tries to analyze the current situation of people's mediation from two angles: vertical historical development and horizontal system composition,combined with the operation of the current people's mediation system in the urban community.Finally put forward to some suggestions about how to improve this system.
