At the fifth session of the 12 th National People's Congress,Premier LiKeqiang in his government work report pointed out that "HongKong independence" was no way out and the central government would continue to implement the principle of "one country,two systems" and "HongKong people governing HongKong" comprehensive and accurately with the policy of a high degree of autonomy.The central government would continue to follow the Constitution and the HongKong Basic Law strictly to ensure that the practice of "one country,two systems" in HongKong was unwavering,not aliasing and not deforming.National identity is the social and psychological basis of the state and also the core of the sense of belonging of the multi-ethnic state.With the development of economic globalization,information globalization and postmodernism in today's world that has a great influence on national identity,it is critical to research the national identity of HongKong people in the complicated and changing process of the globalization.Enhancing the HongKong people's national identity is an inevitable requirement for the long-term prosperity and stability of HongKong and also an important measure to maintain the national stability and unity.The contents of this study mainly include the basic concepts and the theoretical basis of HongKong people' national identity,the status and the cause analysis of the national identity,and the countermeasures and suggestions for enhancing the national identity of HongKong people from the view of "one country,two systems".The thesis is divided into five chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the research background,the significance,the domestic and international research,the research contents and methods of this thesis to give a general overview of the feasibility and necessity.In the second chapter,the author presents the definition and theoretical basis of the relevant concept of HongKong people's national identity from the view of "one country,two systems".By introducing the basic connotation and related content of national identity,the author analyzes the significance of national identity to the implementation of "one country,two systems".The author also analyzes the theoretical basis of HongKong people' national identity by introducing "one country,two systems" theory,postcolonial theory and social identity theory.In the third chapter,the author analyzes the concrete manifestation of HongKong people's national identity under the policy of "onecountry,two systems".The author reviews briefly the social changes of modern HongKong to reveal the close relation between the mainland and HongKong.This author also analyzes the status of HongKong's national identity before HongKong's return by analyzing the local consciousness formation of HongKong colonial period and the social mentality of the transition period during 1997 HongKong's return.The author gives a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the positive effect of the implementation of "one country,two systems" on HongKong people's national identity.In the fourth chapter,the author analyzes the performance of the insufficient HongKong people's national identity in recent years,focusing on the reasons for the lack of recognition of HongKong people from historical and realistic level,and from the internal and the external level.In the last chapter,based on the previous analysis,the author puts forward six countermeasures and suggestions for enhancing the national identity of HongKong people,including continuing to maintain HongKong's long-term prosperity and stability;strengthening national education to cultivate HongKong youth's national identity;being adhere to the correct guidance of public opinion and standardizing the HongKong media industry;strengthening cultural identity to promote public feeling return;constructing dominant values and uniting consensus with "China dream";exerting the advantages of united front to promote national identity.
