Research On Government Image Building From The Perspective Of Public Crisis Management

As a special kind of social resources,the government image plays an important role in improving the public trust cohesion and enhancing the authority of the government.While the public crisis brings challenges to the government image,it can also bring opportunities for rebuilding the image of the government.The image of the government is an organism which is constituted of the interaction of the government,the public,media and other elements,while the management of public crisis is a system engineering which includes the value concept,the public crisis management planning,dynamic adjustment and crisis communication of itself.Building the government image from the perspective of the management of public crisis is a behavior which is based on the combination of the characteristics of the image of the government and the management of public crisis,and adapt to the needs of social public and the social development in the special context of public crisis,and then repair and improve the organizational image,and it include three dimensions which are the concept,mechanism and spread in.This thesis begins with shaping the government image under the view of public crisis management,on the foundation of a lot of literature and empirical study,examines the current situation of the government image shaping,puts forward the strategic positioning of the government image shaping.Finally,in order to setting up a government image of keeping pace with the times,this thesis starts from the three periods which are crisis prevention,crisis management and image restoration,puts forward several suggestions and paths to shape the government image in the context of public crisis from cultivating the consciousness of image crisis,improving the system of crisis management,innovating in crisis management innovation ability,strengthening communication and coordination,giving play to the role of new media,improving the assessment and accountability,to make an useful exploration on shaping the government image of innovation,openness,honesty,efficiency and rule of law.
