Climate change caused by the emission of greenhouse gas attracted the world's attention.Nowadays we stepped into the era of low-carbon emissions. As the main mode of transportation in the world,International maritime trade is a major greenhouse gas' s emitters. It takes major responsibility for emissions reductions, while international maritime related industries are also facing severe challenges. For shipping emissions, intensive international conference convened emissions, the setting up of relevant laws and a new ship emissions standards constantly updated,it tells us the era of global maritime emissions has arrived.China,as a country with strong power in ships and maritime power, should give much attention to reducing the emission of green gas.which not only make the Chinese ship, import and export trade and other industries well prepared for the new provisions of international emission reduction, but also contribute to the good image of China as a responsible power. This thesis first digs into basic theory and relative concepts and then analyzes the current development and the future trends of reducing emissions. Then, this paper make a detailed introduction to the legislation of International Maritime greenhouse gas, taking example for UNFCCC and the IMO maritime greenhouse gas' reduction framework, relying on the basic legal principles of international maritime emissions.Meantime,it introduced, summarized and analied related legislation in developed countries, helping us finding deficiencies in our existing legal system and policies. This thesis takes technical measures, operational measures, market measures as the main train of thought, combined with different experience in the reduction of international maritime emissions. Finally, giving advice about law and practical measures in related technologies based on the final response to the international maritime greenhouse gas emissions on China's relevant departments and the shipbuilding industry.
