Freedom is a subject of questioning,and freedom is also one of the focuses of Marx's thinking.In Marx,the Communist society was a union of free men".The formation of Marx's concept of freedom was not accomplished overnight.It contained in the long process of Marx's thought.Through sorting Marx's works in different periods,this paper explores the forming process and important content of his thought.From youth to university period,from Rhine period to the period from the German Law Yearbook,"doctoral dissertation" to "critique of Hagel's philosophy",from the "economic and Philosophical Manuscripts of 1844" and "Outline" of Feuerbach to the "German Ideology",Marx's concept of freedom from the abstract to the concrete,from speculation to reality,from fuzzy to clear,from the prior to the demonstration.The article explains the subject,the condition and the way of realization of freedom,and analyzes the basic connotation of Marx's view of freedom.The question of freedom needs theoretical interpretation as well as real knowledge in practice.To grasp the deep connotation of Marx's view of freedom is of theoretical and practical significance for solving many important problems faced by the development of human society.
