A Comparative Study On The Charateristics Of Job Mobility And Their Determinants Between Inter-and Intra-Provincial Floating Population

Since reform and opening up,the scale of China's floating population continues to expand,As a result of the development of social economy,the floating population has received much attention,the job mobility as an important form of social mobility of floating population,reflects the process of individual social and economic status,become one of the main contents of the study of floating population.But the existing research on the job mobility of floating population,tend to use individual characteristics at the time of the survey to explore the occurrence of floating population before the investigation point of job mobility,ignore the time-varying factors existing in the fallacy of the methodology,while ignoring the fact that the floating population exist internal difference.Therefore,based on the 2015 floating population experience and process survey data,which can reflect the characteristics of floating population in the flow process,to study the characteristics of job mobility between inter-and-intra-provincial floating population,influencing factors and the income effect,in order to deepen the understanding the rule of floating of the migrants,and combined with the conclusion of the research,put forward the corresponding recommendations,to provide scientific basis for formulating relevant policies of the employment problem of floating population.Firstly,the paper compares and analyzes the differences of the natural structure,the social structure and the regional structure of the floating population.Secondly,from the three aspects of the basic characteristics of the job mobility,the stability of the migrant workers and the flow trajectory of job mobility.Using the method of multiple linear regression analysis,taking the individual characteristics of floating population variables,family characteristics variables,system characteristics variables,social network characteristics variables and regional differences variables into the model to analysis the job mobility between inter-and-intra-provincial floating population.Finally,the multiple linear regression model is used to study the income effect between inter-and-intra-provincial floating population.The study found that:(1)there are significant differences in structural characteristics between inter-and-intra-provincial floating population;(2)compared with the intra-provincial floating population,the inter-provincial population have frequent occupational mobility and unstability of jobs,in the process of occupational mobility,the intra-provincial floating population is more likely to achieve upward mobility of through job mobility;(3)the characteristics of individual characteristics and family are the most influential factors of floating population job mobility;at the same time,the income increase of the first job have influenced the job mobility of intra-provincial floating population,while the migration of the family members and the labor contract have influenced the job mobility of inter-provincial floating population;(4)There are similarities and differences in the impact of job mobility and the type of job mobility on the income level between inter-and-intra-provincial floating population.The job mobility can improve the income level of the floating population,but it's more useful to the intra-provincial floating population.The number of job mobility and the income level of the inter-provincial population showed the nonlinear change of the inverted U type,but there was no inverted U type relationship with the income level of the floating population in the intra-provincial population." the job mobility of Changing regional " does not play an important role in the income level between inter-and-intra-provincial floating population,while”the change of enterprise mobility' has a positive impact on the income level between inter-and-intra-provincial floating population.Finally,according to the conclusions of this study,the relevant policy recommendations are put forward.
