Research On Police Public Relations Under The New Media Background

As a bridge between the police organization and the public,police public relations have a natural important position.With the advent of the new media era,police public relations have been greatly affected.How to sort out the status quo,face up to the problems brought by the new media,to improve the police public relations are becoming challenges for police organizations.This paper first clarify the definition,elements of police public relations & the connotation and propagation of the new media,combined with the development history of China 's police public relations,analyzes the influence of new media on its main body,object and mode of communication,and next makes an empirical study on the application of new media in Suzhou public security under this influence.Then it compares the domestic and foreign practices for putting forward the endogenous,external problems brought by the new media to the police public relations.Finally,on the basis of the previous theoretical research and research,the author puts forward some suggestions on improving the public relations of police from the aspects of organization,hierarchy,function,content,communication structure and management assessment.
