An Analysis Of The Self-organization Of Migrant Workers From The Perspective Of Public Space

The reform and opening up in China's society has created a new group of migrant workers,with the continuous deepening of reform,expanding the size of this group,focusing on the emergence of this group of problems and contradictions have become increasingly prominent,more and more complex.The self-organization of migrant workers as a self-help force to solve these problems and contradictions in recent years,with the constant research and development,play the function is more and more obvious,more diversified,has become one of the important research topics in academic circles.This paper uses qualitative research methods,through field investigation and literature retrieval used in Beijing,migrant workers home for the case,Ahrendt and Habermas have created the "public domain" of the academic research on the basis of drawing lessons from domestic and international research on public space results,try to use the perspective of public space analysis of the migrant workers of Beijing migrant workers home on the function of self-organization.Specifically,the article first made a panoramic presentation of the history of the development of Beijing workers' home,and then focused on the analysis of the activities and projects of the Beijing workers' home.In Beijing migrant workers home,migrant workers help reduce the concentric mutual store to meet their cost of living,consumption,social networking,information dissemination and other needs;community trade unions,new theatre workers meet their rights and interests maintenance,entertainment and other aspects of demand;concentric experimental school and workers University providing education and re-education opportunities for their offspring.In addition to these basic needs,with the awareness of migrant workers and the social reality of deepening,Beijing worker family opened a new cultural movement through the construction of migrant workers,migrant workers to record the culture and Art Museum of cultural and historical changes,advocating respect for the value of labor and the approval,to create a new culture system by new workers culture and Art Festival and Spring Festival Gala on new work,workers' demands and emotional expression.It is found that the Beijing workers' home is a public space with the function of substitution and empowerment.First,Beijing workers home like other migrant workers self-organization,through the provision of services to meet the needs of some migrant workers,help them solve some of the problems encountered in the city,which is actually the rural community to undertake the function of the public space,public space is a substitute for the rural community;second,in addition to replace the rural in the community public space to meet the needs of migrant workers,workers in Beijing home try to culture and art as the carrier to help in the current "no state" of the migrant workers empowerment,reduce their powerlessness.In addition,Beijing migrant workers home as a function of migrant workers public space,its development process has accumulated a lot of experience is worth reference to other organizations,such as the combination of theory and practice of the work mode,to empower direction of expanding organizational functions and to meet the spiritual and cultural needs of migrant workers as a starting point to create new organization.
