Practice Theory Perspective Of Community Home-based Pension Mode Selection Research

In recent years, China's aging population growing at the same time, China's pension is also facing serious challenges. As the family and demographic changes,the traditional model of family pension has been difficult to meet the growing demand for pension, and that means exploring a new type of pension model for the development of our country is imminent. In such a situation, the community home-based care emerged as a new choice of city pension model, which has been recognized by more and more older people. Apart from the traditional family pension model, why not choose institutional care for the elderly, and why do they choose the community home-based care of it? A reflection on these issues, this paper choose the W Street home care service center of Wuhan for the case, which describes the current situation of their home care services, and analyses the reasons for choosing the elderly home care model.In the pension model to determine the reasons for choosing the basic research questions, I looked a lot about pension model, especially community home care model information. After that, I choose the W Street home care service center of Jianghan district as a case, and using the participant observation and case interviews and other methods to observe and understand the current situation of home care services. On this basis, using the Bourdieu's theory of practice for discussing and analyzing the reasons for the selection of community home-based care model.The paper using the capital and habits concepts of Bourdieu's practice theory to analyze the reasons for choosing pension model, which focuses on the aged pension mode and community home-based care mode selection. Taking the W Street home care service center of Jianghan District for case,and analyzes the reasons why not choose the institution for the old-age care, and why do they choose the model of the community home-based care. The result of investigation shows that,some old people occupy little economic and cultural capital,considering for that, they don't choose the pension agency.Besides,the elderly are not accustomed to be restricted by the management of pension institutions, and they don't have the will to follow the established lifestyle.The community home-based care model have the advantage of that pension institutions don't have, it will reduce household spending, and it can also increase the economic and cultural capital of older age groups,.in addition, older people have a strong "Homesick" complex and gregarious tendencies.they like to get along with peer groups, and enjoying the pleasure of group life, but at the same time, they are also eager to live with the family. Therefore, they choose to enjoy the day-care services in the community during the day, and living in their own homes at night,and that is community home-based care model.
