Practical Research On The Dilemma Of Community Home-based Care Services And Social Work Interventio

With the traditional way of elderly care at home fading and new ways of caring for the elderly in institutions yet to be popularized,Introducing the value and knowledge of professional social work into the field of elderly care at home in communities will help precisely detect the need of the elderly for their elderly care services at home in communities,optimize its form and content,improve its quality,and provide practical references to the government for making relevant policies.In this paper,community Q is taken as the object of study.Based on the author's experience as an intern in a care center in community Q,Survey and field methods are employed in conducting the research,while the participant observance method and the interview method are used to collect data.By doing so,the author gets access to the current situation and demand of the elderly in community Q,It is found out that the deficiencies and difficulties in the elderly care services community Q provides include:a gap between the content of the services provided and the need of the elderly,a lack of proficiency in the service staff,and a yet to be proved assessment system of services.Therefore,it is suggested that in order to solve these problems,efforts should be made in forming a professional team by developing talents in the field,providing professional and demand-oriented services,optimizing the integration of resources,and building a regular system of service provision a for service receivers.
