Population aging has become a major issue facing the global, and challenge the current situation in China as the world's most populous country, faces more severe.By the end of 2014, and the proportion of the population aged 65 and over reached 10.1%, a total of 137 million people. Just over ten years, the proportion of China's aging population will increase by 3.1%, has become the largest elderly population in the world, one of the fastest growing aging countries, population aging has become an important long-term conditions in China. Unlike other older ages in the physical, psychological, and economic conditions and other aspects of the concept of food, clothing, housing, health care and education services, culture and entertainment products has its own unique consumer demand. An aging population and rapid development is bound to affect change in the structure of the consumer, and ultimately affect the overall social spending. So study the impact of population aging on the consumption structure, better understanding of the relationship between population structure and consumption structure, and thus for the coordination of population and economic development to provide some guidance. This paper analyzing the current China's aging population and the consumption structure of residents, characteristics, and then systematically analyzes the aging of our population directly and indirectly affect the mechanism of consumption structure. When building econometric model, China's aging population will affect the consumption structure of the quest is divided into seven aging population affect the composition of consumption expenditure structure of the search, and on this basis, the use of 1995--2012 Provincial Panel Data GMM estimation method and system for empirical research. Meanwhile, the paper also takes into account conditions characteristic of the urban and rural construction, in the empirical part, studied the impact of population aging on the rural and urban consumption. In this paper, the second chapter Situation aging population and consumption structure of China is based on the third chapter of the more comprehensive analysis of population aging on the Consumption Structure of the mechanism, and finally the fifth chapter analyzes the empirical study of population aging impact on the consumption structure, and ultimately draw the following conclusions:(1) the aging population and the overall consumption of food and clothing to reduce these types of expensesconsumption. Reduce food expenditure is in line with economic trends, consumer demand and reduce the reduction is not subjective elderly clothing consumption, mainly due to the immaturity of the market supply objectively inhibit consumption in the elderly clothing;(2) Population aging will promote health care and transport and communications consumer spending, growth in rural consumption in these two categories are more than the city, population aging rural population has more people in the health care and transport and communications expenditure per capita disposable Income for all types of consumer spending significantly, to changes in consumption structure play an important role;(3) the aging of the population in rural areas of culture and entertainment expenses of education have a more significant positive effect;(4) In rural areas, per capita disposable Income for all types of consumer spending significantly, to changes in consumption structure play an important role. Finally, based on the theoretical and empirical analysis, put forward policy recommendations for changes affect China's aging population brings to the consumption structure.
