Mutual-support Group Work Get Involved The Social Interaction Difficulty Of Old Floating People

In recent years, floating people get increasing attention as the growth of floating population. However, in the large floating group, there is a special group “old floating group”, who float to big city with their offspring. This group of people would not only suffer from adaption problems, but also endure the pressure of social interaction. Living far away form home to an unfamiliar environment, people will not only bear geographical migration, but also suffer from negative social communication. They could hardly find a listener, they could hardly talk to someone. These people suffer great loneliness in big city. In regaid of this realistic issue, This paper tried to solve old floating people's social interaction problem by applying mutual-support group working method. The purpose of this paper is to help old floating people improve their difficulties in social interaction through the motivation from group.In regarding of the communication confidence, social identity and social contact supporting system issues, Research Method: Firstly, carry out needs assessment by observation, face to face interview, telephone interview and other information collected and analyzed from community service center. Secondly, organize “recall the past, sunset red” mutual-support group activity. Objects of the activity are the old floating people who are older than 60 years old. The group is guided by activity theory. Its target is to promote the interaction between the old floating people, increase their mutual approval, mutual support, and expand their social network. The group activities are designed basing on the topics of old floating people's personal factors, approval of others and social concern.Through the mutual-support group, old floating people's social interaction problem has been improved in certain extent. To be precise, it mainly shows in following aspects: first of all, through the group activity, old floating people made more friends in their community. Secondly, they can share with others, help mutually and there is a sense of approval between group members. Thirdly, the olds start to build their own social network. Fourthly, the old floating people obtained attention and concern from community. Of course, apart from these improvements, there are also defects in this group activity: Firstly, Lack of practical experience, inadequate operation of technical professional. Secondly, Limited group service staff, it can combine with social working method, to improve service in the future.
