The Construction Of Modern University System In Perspective Of Institution Change Theory

The modern university system(MUS)is one of the favored topics in the present-day HE studies at the present stage.Currently the research about the MUS is mainly based on the university in the view of Education, not based on the system. Therefore this article tries to base on the Institution Change Theory to analysis the process of the university system change in China to find out the effective way of the MUS construction.The article includes six parts totally. Part ? is the instruction including the background and meaning of the topic, literature review, and the overall design of this research. Part ? defines the core concepts, introduces the formation and the main content of the Institution Change Theory; analysis the institutional change theory to the study of the University System of relevance. The Part ? describes in detail the process of institutional change of universities and in the presence of path dependence, which is the logical basis for later study. The part ? analysis the abuses in the university system of our country and the dilemma of system reform through three cornerstones of Institution Change Theory. Part V proposes how to construct our MUS in connection with the abuse in our University System. The last part is conclusion.This research is based on the University System, including the University System of the Property Right, the Relationship between the Government and universities. The writer believe that the Construction of MUS should start from the shaping of the university culture and training of the university theory to form good culture atmosphere and system environment, based on the University System of the Property Right and construction of Internal and external governance structure, adopt by the progressive reform strategy to promote it step by step.
