Students ability to solve chemical problems is the high school chemistry teaching one of the important aims and problem solve ability level not only directly affect the chemistry learning achievement, also have an impact on students learning chemistry achievement sense. The study found that high school students in chemistry problem solving ability is not optimistic, practical and effective teaching activities to improve students’ ability to solve chemical problems.Literature review and analysis of the problem solving ability of the connotation, psychological mechanism and influencing factors, on the basis of construct the chemistry problem solving abilities of the five elements: chemical problem solving attitude and structured knowledge of chemistry, chemical problem solving strategies, the identification of chemical information, the processing of chemical information processing, and thus on the basis of the compiled < high school student chemistry problem solving ability questionnaire >, by testing analysis showed that the questionnaire has good reliability and validity, for high school students in chemistry problem solving ability present situation investigation and study.Researches on the application of the questionnaire of 237 senior high school students were investigated. The results of the survey found that, student’s ability to solve inadequate, in structured knowledge of chemistry and chemistry information recognition and processing of chemical information processing the three aspects is particularly evident.According to the results of the investigation, the research put forward 4 aspects of teaching strategies to enhance the students’ ability to solve chemical problems, and the teaching practice verifies the effectiveness of perfecting students’ knowledge structure, training students to solve the problems of chemical, and constructing chemical problem schema. The results show that the students’ ability to solve problems can be significantly improved through improving students’ knowledge of network in review lessons, and to guide the students to use strategies actively in the exercise and to supervise the students to use <Problem Solving Self-Prompting Card > and to change the way to explain in exercise classes. The design of teaching activities can improve the ability of recognition and summary, to improve the students’ schema level of the problems and the result will be reflected in the scores of students in the learning progress.At the end of this paper, the existing problems and the direction of the next research are made clear through the reflection and outlook of the research.
