With the development of the society as well as education, high school mathematic teachers are expected to improve their educational research ability gradually. To improve high school mathematics teachers'educational and scientific research literacy is an effective approach to teachers' professional development. By taking part in educational researches actively, not only can high school mathematics teachers improve their own educational and scientific research literacy but also help with their professional development, which is sure to shorten the gap between the present situation of educational research and the educational reform.The research which conducted among the high school mathematics teachers in Hulunbuir aims at getting related data. By analyzing the data, the author intends to find out the factors which may affect high school mathematics teachers'educational research ability and make proper suggestions on how to deal with the problems so as to offer effective methods of improving the educational research ability of local high school mathematics teachers.Firstly, the thesis analyzes the educational research projects inHulunBuir in recent five years. The results show that the number of educational research projects is increasing gradually, which indicates the teachers'awareness of educational research is also increasing.Secondly,thethesis makes a survey among 441 high school mathematics teachers in 25 senior high schools using the methods of investigating to learn about the present situation of educational research. And here are the main existing problems:teachers'consciousness of educational scientific research is not strong; teachers lack the motivation of educational research as well as necessary educational theories; suffering from the heavy task of teaching, teachers have little time and chance to do educational scientific research; teachers lack appropriate guidance and training; teachers have difficulties in getting necessary materials; relevant departments haven't invested enough on education.According to the problems above, the thesis makes the following suggestions. At first, high school mathematics teachers should improve their awareness of educational research and try to learn more educational theories. Secondly, high school should reform its evaluation mechanism as well as reward mechanism. Besides, the educational scientific research organization should set up and strengthen the mechanism to create a perfect educational research atmosphere for teacher.
