According to the background of China's One-Child Policy, initiated in1980,the traditional nuclear family structure has changed and the function of provide for the aged become weaken. Elderly people living alone, is a part of spacial group caused by the result of the function of support the aged by family members to be undertaken by society. Social support, is the sum of action that gives free help for vulnerable groups using social network to exert some material and spiritual methods.This paper is composed by introduction, three chapters, conclusion,references and appendix.In chapter one,there is a introduction of Xi Hua Yuan community,Alxa left banner,Alxa league. Using visited and questionnaires methods to make clear the living situation, facing problems and needs of elderly people living alone.In chapter two, it based the analysis and statistic on the visited and questionnaires data to make sure the director. After making sure of it,we analyzed his/her needs. Make serve plan for director on the basis of analysis upon to begin case work intervention. The intervention work will be done by the form of home interview.In chapter three, make an evaluation and reflection to the interventionwork before. The evaluation is about the lack of the analysis and countermeasure during the work,and it is composed by 4 parts: intervention work director, director's children and social support.Conclusion, summarizes the content of the paper and according to the social support for the elderly people who lives alone,puts forward following methods: comprehensive the policy at the government level, promote community care services, strengthen the communication between the elder parents living alone with their children.
