It is pointed out in the new curriculum standards that the purpose of teaching is not only to teach but also to learn. To learn is not only to learn the knowledge but also to learn how to work and to exchange thoughts with others. Therefore, it is extremely to lead students create new learning ways.The group cooperative learning is an important way to achieve teaching objectives in the progress, and guidance case is an effective platform for developing group cooperative learning.Student in two classes in grade one from XXX junior middle school were selected in this study, and application research of group cooperation study in biology learning case was carried out in the author's school for the first time. The application of group cooperative learning in the guidance case was assessed through the analysis of case studies, surveys, and test scores.The results of survey indicated that with the improved learning enthusiasm,the students who paid attention to biological phenomenon in their life increased to 62.5% from 45%., and the students who liked to read biology books increased to 55% from 42.5%. The students who favored to have biology class rose to 75% from 60%. Meanwhile, the students raised their consciousness of coordination. The students who were willing to share with others increased to 43.5% from 22.5%, who help others actively increased to57.5% from 37.5%. Besides, the students enhance the awareness of active learning. The students who previewed before class rose to 50% from 30%.The analysis of scores in four examinations of biology indicated that after the application of group cooperative learning to guidance case for almost eight months, the students' grades have improved to some extent. The average score in experimental classes is 79.10, and that in comparative classes is 75.90. The rate of the students who got over 70 increased which added up to 32 persons in total while the grades in control class were divided into two polarsapparently.All in all, the application of group cooperative learning into guidance case has promoted the teaching quality in biological class. It is obvious that the grades, study passion, cooperative awareness and learning initiative of students in experimental class has improved, which has laid a solid foundation for students' comprehensive development.
