Cooperation and innovation spirit have become the basic quality the new talent requires in the 21 st century. Cooperative learning is a new and effective teaching theory and strategy system, widely used in many countries in the world. Group cooperative learning can improve classroom atmosphere, enhance students’ academic performance, and promote students to form good non-cognitive psychological quality, known as "the most important and successful teaching reform in last decade". Cooperative learning is an important teaching strategy advocated by the new curriculum reform in our country, which promotes the pace of China’s quality-oriented education reform; one of hot issues the primary and secondary schools focus on is how to effectively organize the students to have group cooperative learning. Throughout the last decade, theoretical achievements about the cooperative learning are gradually accepted, developed and used by more and more primary and secondary school teachers and students, becoming the learning way primary and secondary school students would like to see and hear. However, many scholars and experts focus the group cooperative learning on Chinese, math, English, while there is few teaching application research on ideological and moral lessons in junior middle school.Based on the application situation of cooperative learning group in the ideological and moral lesson of The Third Junior Middle School Of Tanghe,Nanyang, this paper deeply investigates the application status of cooperative learning group in the ideological and moral lesson of junior middle school through the questionnaire survey and classroom observation, tries to fully reflect the combination of group cooperative learning theory and ideological and moral lesson of junior middle school, in order to enrich the research result of ideological and moral lesson theory and practice, hoping to improve the junior middle school students’ interest in ideological and moral lesson.This paper consists of five parts: part one: introduction. This part elaborates the research background and research significance of this paper, introduces the current research achievements about cooperative learning group at home and abroad, lists the research methods used in this paper, and explains the structure of this paper as well as the innovation and deficiency of this paper. Part two: theory. By looking up the books, periodicals, papers and other information about the cooperative learning at home and abroad, it understands the relevant theoretical knowledge about cooperative learning in our country. Through reviewing related theory knowledge, it defines the group cooperative learning. Part three: application. Based on the application situation of cooperative learning group in the ideological and moral lesson of The Third Junior Middle School Of Tanghe,Nanyang, it conducts the questionnaire survey and classroom observation, and analyzes the survey data. The fourth part: the problem. By sorting out and analyzing the survey data of questionnaire and classroom observation, it finds out the problems existing in the application of group cooperative learning in the ideological and moral lessons of junior middle school: the group building is not reasonable, the role of the teacher is not accurate, do not grasp the opportunity and time of the cooperative learning, lack of cooperative learning rules and imperfect evaluation system. The fifth part: the countermeasure research. By means of analyzing the problems in the group cooperative learning of the junior middle school, this paper puts forward some countermeasures: establish reasonable cooperation group, give full play to teachers’ leading role, select the appropriate opportunity and time, provide the relaxing learning environment and abundant cooperation time, allocate reasonably, define clear responsibilities and establish scientific evaluation system, in order to improve the effectiveness of group cooperative learning in the ideological and moral lessons of junior middle school.
