With the development of society, prisons are no longer the place of punishing prisoners, but they are growing into an administrative organization with main responsibilities of imprisonment, transformation and prevention of crime again. Prisoners may have many psychological problems because of pressure from environment changes and their own factors. It is so difficult for them to adapt to the life in prison that many problems appeared in the process of transformation and they can't adapt to the society when released. Hence, in recent years, the mental health of inmates had more and more attention. In this paper, we study the impact on the mental health of middle-aged women prisoners through three months of the practice of mass aerobics level 3 by literature material method, expert interview method and experimental method. We took 40 to 55 years old women in Jilin province women prison as experimental subject and they practiced mass aerobics level 3 courses three times a week,45 minutes every time. The study will provide theoretical reference for the mass aerobics in the field of psychology and discuss effective methods to promote the development of the prisoner mental health. The results showed that:1?Through 3 months of mass aerobics level 3 practice, in addition to the forcing factor, hostile factor and phobic factor without statistically significant before and after the practice, other factors had different degrees of statistical significance; 2?Mass aerobics level 3 had a positive effect on middle-aged female inmates to alleviate the physical discomfort from psychological problems. According to the results we proposed:1 The government departments should strengthen the attention to prisoners psychological problems and strengthen the psychological counseling of them. They should investigate the mental health of prisoners regularly so that they can find the problem in time and adjust immediately to make prisoners integrate into society faster.2 According to the result of mass aerobics level 3 having a positive role on middle-aged female prisoner mental health, we suggest that mass aerobics level 3 as means of persuasion for carry out the corresponding education training regularly to improve the female prisoner mental self-adjustment ability.3 Mass aerobics level 3 requires nothing of venues and equipment and it is suitable for prisoners. Hence, we suggest that prison play video for prisoners and make it more suitable for female prisoners to practice aerobics. It is convenient for prisoners to undertake the training of aerobics in the rest time.
