As the state vigorously promotes the "three links two platform" project, people are increasingly concerned about personal learning space because it can meet the students with personalized learning needs. In English subject, the overall goal of the 2011 version of the English curriculum standard is to develop comprehensive ability of applying English. But through the survey found that in the current environment of traditional classroom instruction, students are still limited to the classroom and teaching materials, and lack English application opportunities, and lack of abundant learning resources. These problems lead to students have no confidence in life and not flexible use of English, a lack of understanding for the culture of English-speaking countries, it cannot meet the English subject characteristics of instrumental and humanism. However, faced with the problem of students in English subject, is not designed for English discipline characteristic of personal learning space, the advantage of individual learning space has not been fully used, therefore the study for English individual learning space has great value.First of all, through the literature research, this study reads and literatures about personal learning space at home and abroad to analyze the present research situation and development trend of personal learning space, and to determine the research questions and objectives. The objective of the study is to design a personal learning space for English subject, which needs to be considered the students' English learning needs. Secondly, through the literature research method, this paper analyzes the four kinds of learning theories and English curriculum standards, and expounds the necessity and theoretical basis for the design of the individual learning space. Then, through questionnaire survey, this paper selects some middle school students as the object of investigation, from the perspective of students' investigation of the current junior middle school students of English learning needs. Further, considering the theoretical basis of learning, English curriculum standards and junior high school students' English learning needs, designing the models of junior high school English students personal learning space. Finally, according to the personal learning space model, selecting a English curriculum of the eight grade to design a case, and designing an evaluation formThrough research, this paper puts forward six design principle of the junior high school English students personal learning space, and put forward the model of junior high school English students personal learning space, and further refinement of the module, to provide reference for the personal learning space design research in the future, also for use of personal learning space to improve the learning process, optimizing the learning results,and provides a clear framework and the beneficial reference for the development of personal learning space.
