In 2011, the "geography curriculum standards for compulsory education", it is pointed out that the compulsory education geography curriculum is a practical course, which includes the chart drawing, the study with the production, experiment, demonstration and so on. The curriculum should focus on the cultivation of students' innovative consciousness and practical ability. In accordance with the requirements of the curriculum, the current national elementary education curriculum reform advocates students are the subject of learning, actively getting involved, willing to explore, diligent in practicing and learn to cooperate. Therefore, how to cultivate the students' practical ability in junior high school geography curriculum, how to make the students take the initiative to participate in the teaching, is compulsory education stage of the urgent need to address the implementation of the problems.The compulsory education geography curriculum standard for reference, combined with encountered in the actual teaching of key points and difficulty, and consider the students practical ability, and the People's Education Press of junior high school geography textbook can be carry out learning content production, design the production of specific project 34, and make a practice research in Grade Seven, No. 25 junior middle school, in Hohhot, to find out the junior high school students to make Geography with the feasible scheme, inquiry learning with production and application process of students grasp geographical knowledge is of no help, and to cultivate the practice ability of the students.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part is the research status and significance of domestic and foreign geography. The second part is based on the geography curriculum standards, textbooks, related literature, defining the geography, analyzing and making the content of middle school geography.The preliminary conclusions of this paper are as follows: the literature survey method, the teaching method, the case study method and the teaching experience.The geography teaching aids of junior middle school can be divided into the model and the map. Related with geographical location, geographic distribution and a regional knowledge, students can move drawings, mapping, puzzles to help cognitive; involved in stereo, space concept and knowledge, with the students to make the related model and application in teaching help students learn.With the role of science is junior high school geography teaching can not be replaced. Study geography can be intuitive visualization. Students by using a variety of simple equipment, the text of the book, defined as the entity, "see" to the geographical knowledge. Students through the production, to participate in the classroom teaching, training, improve the students' practical ability to explore the comprehensive ability.Through the development of junior high school geography with the practice and research of fabrication and application, hope to cast a brick to attract jade, have more teachers to study together and continues to expand, find more mature study tool manufacture and use method, obtain better teaching effect, achieve the goal of improving the comprehensive quality of the students' geography.
