With the development of modern multimedia technology has been widely used in teaching and among multimedia applications. PPT auxiliary teaching methods have also been accepted by more and more teachers. Especially in teaching in junior high school geography class, PPT intuitive, image, targeted critical role and significance of geography teaching. Applications PPT geography teaching can be active classroom atmosphere, optimize classroom teaching, enhance student interest, stimulate students’ motivation, achieve a multiplier effect, it can be said PPT has become a geography teacher assistant. Geography normal students are the main force in the future geography teaching normal students arrived when teaching positions, along with the role of students to the changing role of teachers, on the one hand has a great passion for teaching the other hand, due to the lack of experience in teaching methods and instructional technology, there are still lacking, then the normal students of geography teaching situation PPT production and application is? That is the question this paper studies. In this paper, the literature, sampling method and questionnaires, the status of the application junior high school geography teaching PPT normal students conducted a survey presented during the current normal students in junior high school geography teaching PPT application the problems, problem- final the corresponding improvement measures. Mainly from four aspects to discuss:The first part introduces the research background, research status and research methods.The second part, the basic theory, first PPT and PPT significance in Geography Teaching outlined. Secondly, it elaborated on the theory: behaviorism theory, multiple intelligence theory, constructivist theory, and explain their views on these theories. Finally, by reading the relevant literature about the PPT, and PPT to collect geographic analysis, preparation of the basic requirements for secondary geography teaching from PPT and geographical integration level.The third part, to geography normal students as the main object of study, understand the overall status quo as well as the production and use of normal students PPT courseware that arise.The fourth part of the survey results for the problems, put forward points.Finally, the paper summarized and discussed.
