Western short story works instruction is an important part of Mongolia language teaching in high school, which is different from Chinese works, it play an important part in exploiting students building a proper value of dealing with western cultures, expanding comparative mind and creative thought, stimulation the emotional resonance in the field of spirit,and improving the aesthetic temperament and interest. But there is one way or another in the middle of the western short story teaching question, in view of this, the author made writing paper hope to find a way to improve the western short story teaching.This paper mainly includes two parts, the introduction, content andappendixthe introduction including the selected topic reason and target, research status, research objects and research methods. The content includes three parts.In the first part, the Mongolian in high school textbooks(compulsory) 9 western short story theme, character, means of artistic expression are analyzed. In the second part, study the problem encountered in teaching the plight of teaching. The third part discusses the two strategies to improve the Mongolian language high school textbooks(compulsory) of the western short story teaching method. One?the improvement of teachers quality.two?diversity of teaching methods.
