| With the continuous deepening reform of curriculum, educating well-rounded students has long been the goal of education reform in our country. Professor Gardener’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences, just like the breeze from the other side of the Atlantic, is perfectly in harmony with the quality-oriented education which is carrying out in an all-round way, providing us with a new perspective of education reform.Art teaching in senior high school mainly focuses on art appreciation, of which classroom teaching plays the most important role. So researches on how to bring the Theory of Multiple Intelligences deeply into classroom teaching is very necessary. On the basis of systematic research on Gardener’s theory, considering the situation of Chinese high school art appreciation class and teaching practice of some teachers, the author studies on how to use the theory to guide art appreciation class and makes some suggestion. As a result of research, the author get a deeper comprehension of the meaning of the theory to quality-oriented education.This paper is divided into six parts. The Introduction includes background, aims and significance of the study. The first chapter introduces the birth, related concepts and educational significance of Multiple Intelligences Theory. With consideration of the reality, the second chapter elaborates the present situation of art appreciation class from four aspects of curriculum, classroom, student and teacher. As the core part, the third chapter proposes methods of applying Multiple Intelligences Theory into classroom combined with examples from teaching method, appreciating perspective,learning way. In the fourth chapter, the author puts forward some problems needed to pay attention to when using the Theory of Multiple Intelligences in classroom.Summary of the study and prospects for future research are discussed in the last part of this paper.Using the method of literature researching, questionnaire surveying, observing,analyzing and summarizing, the author conducts a research on how to use Multiple Intelligence Theory to guide the art appreciation class. Hope to help the teachers get inspirations and enhance their skills so that the talent of students can be showed to a great extent. |
