The application ability of information technology is an indispensable ability for modern teachers nowadays, therefore upgrading training which aims at the application ability of information technology has a great impact on the professional development of middle and primary teachers and promotion the new curriculum reform. Since 2013, authority attaches highly importance to the training and promoting work towards the application ability of information and technology.In the past few years, China has carried out some training about the application of educational technology and information technology for teachers gradually. These trainings have made some achievements to some extent. Increasing numbers of teachers put IT into teaching practice and their application ability of IT have improved a lot, but teachers from San Menxia have a large gap compared with other developed areas in China. During the process of training in San Menxia area, some problems still exist which might hinder overall result of the development in the aspects of the application ability of IT, such as lack of targeted, content generalization, single training type and disconnected learning. Therefore it is significant for researches to figure out the approaches to follow some research results from developed areas and find out the training strategies to improve the level of teachers form San Menxia to China.As the representatives of the application ability of IT in developed areas, British and America mainly lay attach to training targets and modes in related researches. They have made some great achievements toward training after many years of practicing and experience summarizing. As the same time, many scholars and researches have already made investigations of the current situation of the application ability of IT and given valuable suggestions toward training. These successful experiences can give some advices for training strategies in this thesis.Based on the guidance of the Standard of Information Technology Application Ability for Primary and Secondary School Teachers and the Training Standard of Information and Technology Application Ability for Primary and Secondary School Teachers, this thesis tries to investigate the status and needs of training towards the application ability of information technology at middle schools in San Menxia, Henan province, with the support of document research and questionnaire. Then author finds out some issues which should be improved during the process of the organization of training activities towards the application ability of IT, thus some training strategies are put forward by author in order to solve these problems, such as lack of consciousness of the application of IT; lack of the ability to deal with the technical faults in informational class independently; lack of enough training towards the application ability of IT; lack of various training content; lack of targeted; lack of motivation system; lack of training management system.At the same time, this research made an investigation of the teachers' specific needs towards training about the application of IT at middle school in SanMenxia area. After research, author has found out teachers' practical needs which are training content should be diverse and practical; training should be developed in practical teaching; training should be short; training should set testing and evaluating method which combines theory and practice together; training management should take certificate system( the credit system); education technical experts and excellent teachers are all trainees.At last, author has summarized some suggestions and strategies towards the teachers' training of the application ability of IT at primary and middle school in the future from the perspectives of macroscopic view and microcosmic view. The conclusion includes three parts, which are innovating teaching sense and preparing preliminary work, enriching training content and choosing proper training type; managing training scientifically and utilizing motivation system reasonably. Author has come up with training strategies with the aims of improving the application ability of IT for teachers from San Menxia, which have some meaningful reference to improve current situation and training result of the application ability of IT at middle school in San Menxia, Henan provinces even in China to some extent.
