According to the characteristics of history and history teaching,the history curriculum of high school is a kind of basic cause. The cause aims to reveal the basic process of human development, explore the law of the historical development. Due to the writing system and limited length of history textbooks in high schools in China, the contents of textbooks tend to be highly generalized rather than be in depth. In order to make up the deficiency of textbook contents,increase teaching effectiveness,improve students' abilities of under standing and analyzing history, broaden students' vision of learning history and help them form a correct view of history,high school teachers have to take advantage of historical research outcomes in addition to those in textbooks.Therefore, teachers have to confront with the problem how to use those outcomes properly and effectively in the teaching practices.So this study is rich of not only academic value but also method ological value.This thesis is a case study on the introduction of historical findings into textbook,taking documentary method and analytical approach as the main methodology, Sun Yat-sen and the Revolution of 1911 as well as other historical research findings and Sun Yat-sen part in the textbook of the People's publishing house as the main research subject and sources. Firstly, there is a brief introduction concerning a large amount of historical research findings, for the purpose of creating a general image on the Revolution of 1911, the Three People's Principles and Sun Yat-sen and so on. What's more, comparative analysis is conducted between historical research findings and textbook content so as to confirm some problems occur in the textbook regarding Sun Yat-sen content, such as individual discussable historical fact, boring Sun Yat-sen personal image, for the revolutionaries and against the constitutionalists, denying the negative impact of the Revolution of 1911. By analyzing the reason with respect to the problems occur, for instance, the contradiction between textbook stability and historical research continuity, textbook content simply demonstrates the national standpoint but historical research focuses on the matter of the reality, in order to draw wide attention from historical teaching staff and make best use of the advantages and bypass thedisadvantages.Last but not least, suggestions of bringing in historical research findings proposed upon different problems. Teachers can present some historical research findings, for the sake of leading students to talk over historical findings, enrich historical figure image, discover the essence of historical events, provide thinking method on teaching, optimize teaching content, establish right value of textbook and achieve better teaching purpose.
