At present, with the rapid development of science and technology, with the constant advance of the new curriculum reform, the educational philosophy, centered at development of students, has penetrated the hearts of every teacher, and constant deeper level of exploration in the teaching process is under way. Students' effective “participation” in the class is strongly advocated in the new curriculum teaching, it is also the needs to change the status of junior high school biology class. There are three high school biology curriculum nature: firstly, it belongs to the subject curriculums; secondly, it belongs to the science curriculums; thirdly, it belongs to the technical courses. These three properties directly or indirectly reflects the nature and characteristics of science. This requires the active participation of students, rather than teachers to explore instead of students or alternative excessive guide students to explore, what teachers should do is just guiding and promoting the development of the educated. In addition, improving high school students' participating in class teaching is an important guarantee for the implementation of effective teaching.For the study of this subject of students' participition, at first I locked all the students in the eighth grade in a junior high school of Lanzhou City, Gansu Province as the object of study to explore the situation of their participation in the biology class activities; And then I analyzed, whether the various dimensions of the problem, reflected by the survey in the literature, are Appropriate and accurate or not, if We can obtain data by this, and then analyze the situation; Thirdly, obtained the data by using questionnaire methods, processed the data by mathematical statistics, observation to conducte analysis of it; Finally, put forward some implementation of the recommendations.In this study we got the following conclusions: firstly, in the process of biology class teaching in junior high school, there is more concentration than study in the student's behavior, they rarely actively participate in group discussions, their sense of team is relatively weak, and they do not have much time for extra-curricular learning, concentrate and study have significant impact on test scores; secondly, in cognitive participation shallow cognitive strategies are used more, deep participation is not enough, both have a significant impact on test scores; thirdly, during classes students' positive emotions are more than negative emotions, the power, from the sense of accomplishment, which drives students to study biology, is greater than the power form the sense of fun, fun sense of accomplishment and boredom have a significant impact on test scores; Fourthly, the main factors, affecting the students to participate, include students' gender, motivation to participate, the circumstances of participation in programs or activities and parents' participation. For the case of participating of specific groups in the biology class teaching, I put forward the corresponding five suggestions:(1) Teachers should establish and update the concept of modern education;(2) Teaching reflects the dominant position of students;(3) Teachers should use a variety of teaching modes;(4) The establishment of a wide range of scientific evaluation system;(5) Carry out a variety of extra-curricular activities.
