At the beginning of new century,our country launched a new round of basic education curriculum reform,the new curriculum puts forward new requirements for primary school teachers,called for "teachers as researchers".The primary school teachers who have a certain scientific research ability are often able to absorb and apply the new educational theory critically,and eventually to form distinctive educational features.The primary school teachers who have a certain scientific research ability are willing to self-reflection continuously,to turn the questions into research subject,the subject into educational achievements,thereby to conclude the perceptual knowledge of education practice sublimation to rational knowledge,so as to truly grasp the general rule of education,to guide the education and teaching practice,and to promote professional development.Therefore,improving educational research ability of primary school teachers has a important practical significance to promote the overall and professional development of students and teachers,promote the school educational reform,thus improve teaching quality.This study is related to teachers' education scientific research ability and relevant literature as the theoretical basis.From the reality of educational research activities,determines the four stages of primary school teachers' scientific research,that is preparation stage,implementation stage,the achievements of the formative stages and promotion stage.By using the questionnaire survey and interviews,the author systematic investigate and analyze the current situations of primary school teacher education research capacity.Survey sample consisted of 240 teachers of three primary schools of Yaodu District,Linfen City in Shanxi Province.Survey results show that the overall level of education and scientific research ability of primary school teachers is not high,main performance in the abilities of research readiness that include topics selection,information retrieval and designing program are weak;theabilities to implement research that include using research methods,sorting and analyzing data are deficient;Writing scientific research ability is insufficient;dissemination and using research achievements ability is low.According to these problems,the author analyze the causes,on this basis,and from three aspects of teachers,schools and,and the educational administrative department puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to improve the educational research capacity of primary school teachers.The suggestions mainly include:Strengthen the training of primary school teachers' educational research ability;Hire experts guide for primary school teachers;Clear the purposes of educational research,Improve educational research evaluation and incentive mechanism;Create the educational research environment and conditions;Enhance awareness of educational scientific research of primary school teachers;Strengthen self-study and educational research practice of primary school teachers.
