The Investigation Of The Present Situation In Time Management Of College Students

Time management was originally produced in management field,then get the attention of the psychologists,they studied it and put forward some advice for college students' time management.Time management as a kind of rational behavior,must include time management consciousness,time management planning and time management control and time management reflection four interrelated aspects.This study proceeds from the process of time management to investigate the existing problems in the process of time management of the college students.This paper,through literature retrieval,clears connotation and the characteristics of time management,and expounds the possibility and the necessity of improving the time management present situation of the college students.Compile the questionnaire combined with previous research,and make some cuts according to this research,then form the formal questionnaire of the college students time management status,surveying 1209 college students.The results of the study are as follows:(1) overall,the college students' time management status is in the medium level;In the consciousness,planning, control, and reflection on the four dimensions,score shows the phenomenon of decline;In the correlation of the four dimensions and total score questionnaire,planning and control have a high correlation,then reflection, and consciousness shows the lowest correlation,which showing the gap between time management consciousness and time management general situation is bigger.(2) male and female college students exist significant differences in in time management consciousness,time control and time management reflection,no significant differences in time management plan.(3) a freshman and sophomore,junior,senior students exist significant differences in time management planning and time management reflection,no significant differences in time management consciousness and time management control,and there is no significant differences between sophomore,junior and senior students in every dimension and the total score.(4) the liberal arts and science and engineering college students exist significant differences in time management consciousness,no significant differences in other dimensions and the total score.(5) the student leader and non-student leader exist extremely significant differences in time management planning,time management control and time management reflection and the total score,there are no significant differences in time management consciousness.Combined with the interview findings,there mainly exists the following problems in the college students' :lack of positive time management consciousness;objective consciousness is weak and lack of planning ability;phenomenon in delay is serious and easily disturbed;time distribution is poor and extracurricular activities is single;reflection consciousness is weak and the method consciousness is insufficient.To solve these problems, this study analyze the reasons from schools,teachers,and peer groups and individual students,and proposes the corresponding countermeasures for different reasons.
