Shandong Normal Students' Spare Time Management Status Survey

Spare time refers to the time that can be freely disposed in accordance with the person's wish and that is after the person participate the social work and perform other necessary duties. In the spare time, there is no determine and actual contents, the person can decide what to do in accordance with his or her personal hobbies or the environment. Nowadays, the students of normal university have much free time, but they can not use the spare time effectively. Therefore, the researches on the spare time management of the normal university student have great theoretical and practical significance.In recent years, the related problems of time management have raised the concern of the areas of psychology, education, sociology, management and so on. So far, the area of psychology has used empirical research method to study the relations between time management tendencies in the youth and other psychological tendencies. In the area of management, they have a number of time management principles and methods of student. In the sociology area, they have carried out a number of surveys about university student using spare time. However, previous studies both in breadth and depth are to be expanded and deepened further.Referring to the relevant literature both at home and abroad, and with deep-depth interviews and the results of the survey, we determined that the tendency of spare time include spare time tendency of value, spare time tendency of royal, spare time tendency of efficacy and spare time tendency of confusion. Accordingly, we prepared a questionnaire of 22 components, and the validity and reliability is good through project analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and the coefficient of internal consistency test. In addition, we prepare a questionnaire of 11 components as additional questionnaire.We chose freshman, sophomore and junior students of Linyi Normal University, Qufu Normal University, Shandong Normal University to conduct a survey and found that, the spare time management tendencies and behavior of Shandong Province university students exist a number of problems: There are sex and weather student leader differences in spare time efficacy; there is family source difference in spare time purpose; there is professional difference in spare time confusion. At the same time, there are problems in the efficient use of spare time of university students, the amount of leisure time, the activities in their spare time, the affecting factors of using spare time and education and guidance measures. In addition, we have summarized the influential factors of the spare time management of normal university student.According to the features of university students' spare time management, the education and guidance measures can be summarized as follows: Firstly, to guide the university students their self-management on the spare time. Secondly, to strength the controlling of school managers to the management of university students' spare time. In addition, strength the impact of individuals' time management through peer groups and create social and cultural environment of effectively using spare time.
