For a long time, the traditional teaching in our country mainly adopts the "explaning--receiving” mode, which involves in the unidirectional way of information transmission, that is,the teacher always offers unsolicited information while the students are passive recipients. There is little active communication between teachers and students. In view of this,"High School English New Curriculum Standard" proposed to build a new classroom teaching mode where the teacher acts as the "dominant" and the students works as the "subjects".So how to combine the two elements organically to solve the phenomenon that many students in ordinary high schools are bored with English learning under the exam-oriented education so as to improve the students' learning interest and ability of English has become an urgent task of current English teaching at basic education stage.Guided by the constructivism theory, this study aims to explore the feasibility and application of the "Three Dimensional Interactive Approach”(TDIA)in high school in our country from the aspects of students, teachers, learning styles, learning strategies, learning materials, classroom environment and so on.The TDIA is a mutual cooperation and organic interaction between students and students, groups and groups, students and teacher. It uses learning plans to improve the students' ability to study independently.Besides,it promotes efficient learning by means of "instant positive reinforcement",stressing the positive reward to stimulate students' learning interest to deepen their memory consciously and repeatedly so as to build a new education pattern of independent and cooperative learning. This study takes the 80 students of the two classes who are taught by the author herself randomly as subjects.Class ten with 40 students is chosen as the Control Class(CC),and Class eleven with 40 is the Experimental Class(EC).The experiment lasted for 16 weeks from September to December in 2015.The experiment is divided into three stages.During the early stage of the experiment, the author carried out a questionnaire and a pre-test to get a general idea about the students' English learning interest and ability. In the process of the experiment, the students in the CC were taught by the traditional teaching method without using the TDIA While the students in the EC were given lessons with this TDIA.At the end of the experiment, another questionnaire and post-test were conducted.According to the data analysis,it has been found that the learning motivation and academic records of the EC are obviously better than that of the CC after applying the TDIA to English teaching. Therefore, the conclusion can be drawn that this teaching method can arouse the students' learning interest and ability more effectively and scientifically. However, this study also met with some difficulties. It takes a lot of energy and time to design the learning materials together by the teachers themselves according to the students' learning situation. In addition,it needs a certain sum of money for the learning plans and rewards, which should be taken into consideration. In a word, the TDIA interactive teaching method can overcome the disadvantages of the traditional teaching method and help to build a new classroom teaching mode where the teacher acts as the "dominant" and the students work as the "subject" effectively. Moreover, the TDIA can be enlightening to the senior English teaching in China.
