With the vigorous development of the college education, financial management is being more and more important in the management of colleges. Financial department's work efficiency and service quality will be affected by many factors.Nowadays, industrial engineering technology is widely applied in various fields,including that the service in the field of application is becoming more and more popular, but there are few industrial engineering application in the management of colleges.This paper by K university finance department as the background, based on industrial engineering theory, to improve the process of the financial business hall and site management, and to implement financial hall service quality and service efficiency goals. By sampling and "5W1H" questioning, analyzing financial business hall conduction process, follow the principle of ECRSI to optimization process;From "human, machine, material, method and environment" five aspects to analysis field problems, according to the theory of 5S management, to put forward site improvement scheme. The the concept of industrial engineering process optimization and continuous improvement is persistent, and to expect the effect of the improvement plan.This article first reviewed the basic method of industrial engineering, and attempts to apply industrial engineering theory and method to K university financial business hall and field management process improvement, and puts forward the financial hall's business process and site management improvement plan. This study only apply industrial engineering in the financial management of colleges, the application of other management in colleges is worthwhile.
