The curriculum models prevail for now was almost existed in American vocational education curriculum model evolution.It is very meaningful for the inner logic of vocational education curriculum model evolution to choose American vocational education curriculum model evolution for study.As a nation of immigrants,the usefulness is that American rethinking in transplantation and innovation in rethinking instead of copy European model.The “American mode” shows its creative spirit,local wisdom,thinking method,learning consciously and so on.These are all what Chinese vocational education should learn.This paper mainly discuss from five parts:Chapter one: introduction part.It contains the reason of study,meaning of study,literature review,concept definition,research method and innovation.Chapter two: evolution of American vocational education curriculum model.In this part,according to Tyler's target pattern: target,content,organize and evaluate,analysis the curriculum mode of Apprenticeship,DBE,Manual Curriculum,CBE and Career Clusters Curriculum with historical dimension.In a certain sense,Apprenticeship is the first curriculum mode of vocational education.As the collapse of Apprenticeship,DBE emerge at a historic moment.DBE leads to the weakness of technical education;it is unsuited to American technical demand as top industrial power.Woodward found manual training school by learning from “Russian system”.The rapid development of American economy lead to increase of youth unemployment,CBE and Career Clusters Curriculum comes into being.Chapter three: analysis the reason of American vocational education curriculum model evolution.This part basically analyzes transform reason from three aspects: democratic system,production mode and educational tradition.Chapter four: evolution orientation of American vocational education curriculum model.By analyzing American vocational education curriculum model evolution and its reason,put forward three transform orientations-local orientation,humanistic orientation and unified orientation.The last part is conclusion: summarize what is written before and put forward two thinking points: multidimensional variable and education tension in evolution of vocational education curriculum model.As an immigrant's country,American sublate European education model and set up curriculum model suitable to their national conditions.This is a salutary lesson for our vocational education development.
