Meta Analysis Of College Students' Self-esteem And Its Related Influencing Factors

Using the method of meta-analysis to study College Students' self-esteem and its related factors.We hope to reveal the exact correlation among the self-esteem of college students and the related factors.The study included 95 literatures,the total sample size is 38456.In order to ensure the quality of the meta analysis,this study involving these table which associated with college students' self-esteem: the Rosenberg self-esteem scale table(SES),Xiao Shui yuan social support rating scale(SSRS),simple interaction anxiety volume table(IAS),Ralf general self efficacy scale(GSES),and Rotter Interpersonal Trust Scale(ITS),C.Perris Parents Parenting Style and evaluation table(EMBU),Xiao ji hua Coping Style Scale(CSS).Using CMA2.0 meta-analysis software professional version to deal with statistical data,The results are as follows.(1)College students' self-esteem and social support were positively correlated,the effect was 0.302(P<0.01),medium correlation;(2)College students' self-esteem and social anxiety were negatively correlated,the effect was-0.39(P<0.01),medium correlation;(3)College students' self-esteem and general self-efficacy were positively correlated,the effect was 0.423(P<0.01),high correlation;(4)College students' self-esteem and interpersonal trust were positively correlated,the effect was 0.227(P<0.01),medium correlation;(5)Father's and mother's warm factor were positively related with college students' self-esteem,the effect value are 0.300(P<0.01)?0.311(P<0.01),moderate correlation;father preference factors is positive correlated with college students' self-esteem,the effect value was 0.037(P<0.01),extremely low correlation;college students' self-esteem and mother's interference factors were negative correlated,the effect value is-0.077(P<0.01),extremely low correlation;college students' self-esteem and parental rejection factor had negative correlation,The effect valuesare-0.128(P=0.013),-0.179(P=0.038),low correlation.self-esteem and father's protection factor have negative correlation,the value is-0.133(P<0.01),low correlation;mother's penalty factor is negative correlated with college students' self-esteem,the effect value is-0.171(P<0.01),low correlation;no correlation between mother preference factor and college students' self-esteem,the effect value is-0.037(P=0.163).(6)College students' self-esteem was positively correlated with the problem solving factor,the effect was 0.391(P<0.01),moderate correlation;college students' self-esteem and self-blame factor was negative correlated,the effect was-0.385,moderate correlation;college students' self-esteem and help factor was negative correlated,the effect value is 0.208(P<0.01),low correlation;fantasy,withdrawal,rationalization factor are all negative correlated with college students' self-esteem,the effect value are-0.151(P < 0.01),-0.241(P < 0.01),-0.189(P <0.01),all low correlation.
