In recent years, the floating population of China increases ceaselessly in the scale and tends to "family migration" in the structure, which directly leads to the formation of "migrant children"--a new urban vulnerable group. The factors of high cost of living in city and social exclusion of the floating population leads to the fact that migrant children encounter all sorts of difficulties and pressure in the city system. Migrant children are just in the special stage of socialization. They need support from the stable society, school and family to promote the formation of self-identity and social identity. Thus, they can easily integrate into urban life and grow up healthily. In reality, unfortunately, the situation of migrant children's social support is not optimistic. We need to seek feasible countermeasures to improve their growing environment. In this paper, I take X child care center in the city of Nanjing and its clients as an example. From the view of social support, through literature research, participant observation and semi-structured interviews, I collect data, analyze the present social support situation of migrant children and causes of the problems. And then discuss how social work intervenes in migrant children's social support. In this paper, the social support network of migrant children is divided into three parts:strong relationship support system based on kinship, weak ties support system based on geography and external relations support system impacting on social development on a macro-scale. The strong relationship support system is mainly made up of family and relatives; the weak ties support system is mainly composed of school teachers, peer groups, fellow neighbors, etc; the external relations support system consists of government, communities, social organizations, etc. Through this study, it is found that migrant children's support from the strong, weak and external relationship support system is kind of insufficient. The lack of support is due to problems of support body, support object and support mediator. I believe that it is necessary for migrant children to be intervened by social work to strengthen their social support networks. This paper discusses some intervention methods in behaviorist treatment patterns, humanism treatment mode and other forms. Finally, I reflect on the concepts, the principles of service, clients and professional recognition and so on. In addition, from social work point of view, I put forward some countermeasures and suggestions on the construction of migrant children's social support system, namely establishing a positive interaction between the government and the social work system, developing the potential support capacity of mobile family, and integrating support resources through community platform.
