For Intellectual disabilities, employment is not only engaged in some form of labor to get the corresponding reward, but also an important way to realize their own value and return to society. Because of low intellectuality and certain adaptive obstacles, the employment of Intellectual disabilities is full of bumps and difficulties. In our country, the employment service for Intellectual disabilities is in the initial stage. We should give up the previous pattern of "problem-solve", finding a new perspective——attach great importance to Intellectual disabilities'internal strengths and external resources. Some institutions for the disabled are shifting service perspective and they find potential of Intellectual disabilities rather than just taking care of them. The Strengths perspective holds that providing jobs or material assistance for Intellectual disabilities can't solve employment problems fundamentally, but lead to their reliance on welfare. Only by improving relevant work ability and employment ability for Intellectual disabilities will they achieve the goal of employment.This study takes M service center for the disabled in Nanjing as an example and analyzes employment service by data analysis, observation, communication and so on. The study shows that the Strengths perspective of Intellectual disabilities employment service process is as follows:firstly, finding the potential ability of Intellectual disabilities on the basis of excavating internal strengths and external resources; secondly, making the most of advantages to realize employment through individual, interpersonal and social capacity building. Skills training and interactive communication services are provided to promote the employment ability of Intellectual disabilities and improve their social images. However, the Intellectual disabilities of M service center just gain the transitional employment which is engaged in the protective labor in a protected area. If they want to realize the formal employment, the government, enterprises and society etc. need work together. Of course, there are some problems that the service of M center has, such as lack of case services, formal resources, product unsalable and social advocacy. The Strengths perspective of Intellectual disabilities employment service also needs reflection. It may ignore the other difficulties of Intellectual disabilities and the institutional deficiencies of mentally disabled employment service because of emphasizing the advantages.
