Current Situation Of Art Education Among Rural Junior High Schools In YongJing County

This paper introduces current situation of art education among rural junior high schools in Yongjing county such as NO.5 Middle School, No.6 Middle School, and No.9 Middle School from aspects of art class running, basic art education facilities, teaching levels, class teaching methods, students'participation attitudes, teaching evaluation and training of art teachers. The valuable information in this paper is collected by surveys and suggestions during interview and contact with teachers or students in three of the above schools. Meanwhile, this paper analyzes art education situation of rural junior high schools in Yongjing county from practice and draws conclusions and gives suggestions on improvement of art education in rural junior high schools according to students' and art teachers' expectations for art education development in future. The results of research shows people should change their ideas to value art education and concern individual development from the aspect of quality education implementation, striving to enhance students' comprehensive capabilities of feeling, appreciation and creation of art to set up proper art study interest and motivation.There are many factors which lead to the current situation, people no attent ion to art education.Art course was adjusted and even taken by other lessons. Student s have no interest in art. Teaching infrastructure is outdate.lacking of money to ensure art education. The development of course resource is at beginning. Traditional teach ing methods and single teaching evaluation had bad influence on carrying on art educ ation. This paper also presents specific measures and plans on improvement of art education as well as calling for full attention from teachers and the whole society by discussing current situation of art education among rural junior high schools in Yongjing county.
