Education is an important starting point and driving force for scientific and technological progress and economic and social development.As a frontier ethnic region in China,Tibet has received strong support from the state and widespread social attention in Tibet's education,economic and social development.The outline of the national medium and long term education reform and development plan proposes to promote the balanced development of compulsory education and support the standardization of compulsory education schools in border counties and poor counties in national autonomous regions.As an important border area of China,the level of basic education in Western Tibet is of great significance to the project of rejuvenating the border and enriching the people and the balanced development of overall education.At present,there are few research reports on education and teaching in remote western counties in Tibet,so it is impossible to objectively grasp the current situation of education and teaching in western counties.Based on a large number of literature review,this paper investigates the current situation of Chemistry Teaching in middle schools in western counties of Tibet by means of questionnaire,teacher interview and classroom observation,and draws the following conclusions:1.The overall teaching quality of middle schools in western counties of Tibet is good,which is mainly reflected in that students are more interested in chemistry learning,have high satisfaction with teaching methods,teaching contents and teaching quality,and teachers' academic structure is high.2.Due to the influence of high school entrance examination result orientation,teaching environment and other factors,there is a certain gap between the teaching method,teaching content,teaching evaluation and the requirements of the curriculum standards.Specifically,it includes:(1)teaching methods are mainly teaching methods and exercises,and students' scientific literacy is not paid enough attention.(2)The selection of teaching content is guided by the high school entrance examination site,and the experiment setting rate is low.(3)In the aspect of teaching evaluation,most of the evaluation has the problem of insufficient purpose,and the evaluation content is limited to knowledge and skills.(4)The middle school entrance examination results rank in the middle of the city,and the problem-solving ability also needs to be improved.(5)In terms of teachers,some teachers lack the professional knowledge of education and teaching,do not have the ability to operate some audio and video editing software,and do not have a good understanding of the new curriculum standards.(6)The lack of teaching resources in schools that conform to the actual characteristics of students,and the lack of experimental drugs and instruments in many schools have become the main reasons why experimental courses cannot be set up normally.(7)Most students have limited Chinese foundation and poor understanding ability,which has a great impact on the choice of teaching methods and contents.Some parents' support for students' learning determines students' learning attitude to a certain extent.(8)In terms of school management,teachers have not received enough on-the-job training,and the actual evaluation effect of "one examination and three evaluations" is not obvious.The student examination score is the most important factor to evaluate teachers.Based on the above problems and difficulties,this paper puts forward the following relevant suggestions:1.at the level of education director,organize to set up a course resource bank that meets the cognitive level of local students;Strengthen the training of teachers' professional development.2.at the school level,strengthen laboratory construction;Strengthen the communication between home and school,and promote the change of parents' consciousness;Advocate students to communicate in Chinese;Setting up chemical interest groups;Improve the teacher evaluation system.3.at the level of teachers,give students appropriate opportunities to explore cooperation;Increase students' interest in learning and guide them to enjoy learning;Strengthen the use of Nb laboratory and other software;Optimize student evaluation methods.4.students should do a good job in preparation and review,and develop the habit of making mind maps.
