Ecological classroom refers to using the basic principles of ecology to think relations between the ecological actors in the classroom. With each factors mutually interacting to reach the harmony of the whole classroom and to promote students' overall development and to guarantee the harmonious coexistence between teachers and students. Since the implementation of the NECS(The National English Curriculum Standard),the positive changes have taken place. However, many imbalances still exist in the current high school English classroom. This study takes students of senior 2 of XXX High School of Yinchuan as study subjects and applies the methods of questionnaires, interview and classroom observation to collect the necessary information and reveals the existent mismatches, which are the inharmonious relationship between teachers and students, mismatches between teaching contents and five-dimensional objectives, monotonous teaching methods, unsatisfactory teaching environment and unreasonable evaluation. The author also analyzed the imbalance causes from the perspective of ecology. Based on these mismatches, some suggestions to construct ecological English classroom are put forwarded: building harmonious relationship between teachers and students; selecting the teaching contents; exploring flexible teaching methods; creating an ideal environment and proposing dynamical development evaluation methods. These suggestions are conductive to implement the NECS further and it also can promote the harmonious coexistence between teachers and students.
