With the development of science and technology, the mobile handheld terminal devices become popular today. Using intelligent terminal equipment(such as smart phones, tablet PCs, etc.) are becoming more and more popular for primary students. However, the primary usage of intelligent terminal equipments is still controversial, because most parents fear its bad effects on children's learning. So how to use them correctly and effectively in education and teaching becomes an issue that every educator should think about. The application software “we-chat" appears to provide a good way to solve this problem. This study attempts to make use of existing multimedia assisted teaching methods to design an easy way to increase students' interest of learning and for students, parents and teachers to interact, relying on the timely, accurate, content-rich and convenient “we-chat” public platform and focusing on the particularity of badminton teaching. This paper discusses the learning process with the support of ‘we-chat' interactive learning, and takes the footwork teaching curriculum in primary school badminton for example, gives a brief illustration of case design and implementation process of the interactive learning with the support of “we-chat”. This paper also gives an analysis on the usage of “we-chat” among students and teachers, and gives a detailed summary for the teaching effect. Finally, comparing the results of initial questionnaire and ending questionnaire, this paper demonstrates the effectiveness and feasibility of using “we-chat” as a multimedia assisted method in primary school badminton teaching.
