Analysis On The Current Situation Of Chinese Teaching In Thai High School Chinese Major Class

With the popularization of Chinese teaching in Thai secondary school, more and more high schools are offering Chinese as a specialized course. Therefore, how to promote the development of the Chinese major in Thai High School has become a new focus. However, there are few studies on Chinese major in Thai High School presently. Through the study on Chinese major in Nonthaburi High School, we can recognize the general problems exist in Chinese major in Thai High School. According to the existing problems, we put forward some suggestions and measures in reference for the deepening development of Chinese major in Thai High School.This article investigated 18 middle schools in Nonthaburi by using the methods of questionnaire and interview to collect massive first-hand information, and research many works and papers to enhance the main contents of the thesis. The contents of investigation included six aspects, namely, Chinese teachers, Chinese learners, Chinese textbooks, Chinese classroom teaching, Chinese curriculum and the concrete circumstance of each school. On the basement of the investigation, we take Chinese teachers, Chinese learners, Chinese textbooks, Chinese classroom teaching and College Entrance Examination in Chinese as key points and discuss the current status of Chinese teaching as a specialized course in high school. Moreover, we found the existing problems from Thai Ministry of Education, schools, teachers and students. At last, aiming at the existing problems, we put forward solutions and suggestions in terms of Thai Ministry of Education, Hanban, schools, teachers and students and so on.
