Wei Shusheng was one of a large number of senior teachers in the late 1970's. Mr Wei successfully developed new teaching thought due to his loving education procession,learning new knowledge and practicing. Currently, it is necessary to investigate his teaching thought in Chinese education. There were many works focusing on Wei's teaching thought, which serves as a solid base for our investigation in the future.Mr Wei's contributions to education theory and practice mainly include the following such as the Reading Guidance Method of Sanzhu Three Conductivity(RGM-STC), the Six-step Teaching Method in Reading Teaching(STM-RT), the Language Knowledge Tree(LKT), and the 13 Addition Method(13-AM). The STM-RT is a most outstanding method. By investigating the production, formation and developing process of Wei's thinking of Chinese education, we can conclude that his basic contents of language education thought include: proposing a specific purpose in the Chinese education; diversification and innovation in the Chinese teaching; democratized and scientific management in the process of Chinese teaching; life and vivid six-step teaching method in reading teaching; paying attention to cultivate students' self-study ability and habit; expanding the field of language learning.There are a lot of advantages in the current Chinese curriculum reformation, such as putting forward new idea of a Chinese curriculum, understanding the nature of Chinese course, designing the purpose of Chinese curriculum, changing the role of Chinese teacher, expanding the studying idea, and so on. These aspects are fit to Wei's Chinese education thought, which is his language education ideal. Although there are many achievements produced in the current Chinese curriculum reformation such as the updated teaching idea of language education, improved method in the language teacher teaching, improved situation of students learning the language, some problems still exist.For this reason, we can improve the current Chinese teaching practice by studying Wei's teaching thought. Some proper methods are proposed such as paying attention to studentsand carrying out the education function of Chinese curriculum; understanding students,implementing and adhereing to the principle of teaching; inspiring students, prompting them learn; improving the the language teachers' professional quality in the future.It is expected that the current Chinese teaching has a new progress through continuous efforts, which makes the quality of Chinese teaching improved comprehensively.
