In advocating socialism core values today, freedom, equality, justice and the rule of law has been widely accepted by people. More and more citizens participate in society equally and actively. They are also pay attention to social development. The disabled people's marginalized situation have improved. With the emphasizing on disabilities and other vulnerable groups, our country and society are more and more pay attention to intellectual disabled people.Related research shows that the intellectual disabilities are lack of interpersonal skills generally, but this skill is so important. It can improve their living standards, making them successfully integrate in society and so on. But the intellectual disabilities research was also largely remain at the theoretical level today, some of them were also taken directly from the general social work methods, few activities was designed for intellectual disabilities, whose comprehension and communication skills is weak. Based on the practice of G street in Wuhan Sunshine home, author using the methods of interview,participatory observation, literature and other social work research methods on group work intervenes how to improve the interpersonal skills of intellectual disabilities. Interpersonal skills are mainly related to three dimensions: cognitive dimension, emotional control dimensions and communication skills dimension. Author using related methods and techniques carried out a a series of activities which aimed at this three dimension on G street in Wuhan Sunshine home. Author have done a detailed record concerning on activity process and team members change after each time of activity. And then author through in-depth interviews and “team members interpersonal skills assessment” to make interview assessment and evaluation scale date assessment. The evaluation showed that group work intervenes in the intellectual disabilities to Improve them interpersonal skillsis feasible and effective. Then, author make use of the results to summarize and reflect how to improving the interpersonal skills of intellectual disabilities. Author will also analyze uniqueness and creativity of group work intervenes in the intellectual disabilities,which has certain reference significance in improving the interpersonal skills of intellectual disabilities and group work practice.
