In China's urbanization process,the "produced product"-rural left-behind children,in a long-term environment of lack of affection,absence of guardianship,and lack of security,health problems are increasingly prominent.As an effective extension and necessary supplement of school sports,extracurricular sports activities have unique flexibility and diversity,which provide more choices for rural left-behind children in the ways and contents of sports participation,and have unique value for the healthy development of body and mind.But as far as the current situation is concerned,the development status and participation intensity of extracurricular sports activities of left-behind children in rural areas are not optimistic.To this end,this article investigates the current situation of rural left-behind children participating in extracurricular sports activities,deeply analyzes the practical dilemma they face,finds the cause of the dilemma,and proposes effective ways to improve the physical and mental health of rural left-behind children.This article adopts research methods such as literature data method,field investigation method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and so on.The left-behind rural children in Zougang Town,relevant leaders in Zougang Town,teachers in Zougang Town School and some guardians are investigated.The subjective understanding of children's extracurricular sports activities,the status of participation,and external support are studied in three aspects.The study found that rural left-behind children in Zougang Township faced the following practical difficulties in participating in extracurricular sports activities:left-behind children's exercise awareness was weak and the activities had little effect;family sports values were shackled and support was lacking;rural sports lacked human resources and limited ability to guide;sports Uneven distribution of venues and facilities,in short supply of equipment;lack of rural sports cultural life,the atmosphere is not strong The main reasons for its real predicament are mainly the following three aspects:the school education concept is unbalanced,and the physical education is gradually separated;the top-down supply and demand are misaligned,and the financial input is uneven;the policies and regulations are not guaranteed enough,and the supervision service is weak.Based on the above analysis of the practical dilemma and causes of rural left-behind children's participation in extracurricular sports activities,the following improvement paths are proposed:comprehensive implementation of the sports poverty alleviation guiding ideology and the promotion of local sports career development;various channels of dissemination of sports culture knowledge to improve left-behind children's sports Exercise awareness;strengthen the development and supervision of sports human resources,scientifically guide the physical exercise of left-behind children;increase the investment of sports property resources,and promote the development of multiple projects for left-behind children;build an extracurricular sports activity security system to promote the exercise habits of left-behind children.
