Today, with the second child policy implementation, the one-child policy gradually fading out of people's sight, however, one-child policy brought about far-reaching implications on the elderly who lost their only child. They not only face a series of difficulties about pension or empty nest existing their practical lives, but also there are mental health problems, such as a lower self- efficacy, losing confidence to the life. Therefore, in order to help the elderly who lost their only child to have a healthy and enjoyable life,we need to pay attention to their mental health and to improve their self-efficacy.According to Bandura's four theoretical approaches of Self-efficacy Sense, mentioned about using the strength of models, increasing the successful experience, waking up positive emotions and using the encourage skills, the aim of this paper is to design intervention to improve their Self-efficacy,and we found it that the theoretical approaches of Self-efficacy Sense has a positive effect on improving the members' self-efficacy of the team named "a different kind of sunset",by the result of analysis and comparison of four approaches.By taking part in group activities, more than half of the members have cognitive or behavioral changes, which makes the intervention service approach of the study can be applied to the elderly who lost their only child. However, compared to the use of encourage skills and waking up positive emotions, using the strength of models and increasing the successful experience both have a more apparent effect whether it is from the scope of the effect or the persistence, through the further comparison to intervention services. And the way of waking up positive emotions has the minimal effect, meaning its influence is difficult to find for the study, which needs this study to have a reflection.
