Children use the line which is a traditional and mysterious painting language to get others’attentions and understandings when they start to do graffiti. It could be said that the line is the foundation of children’s painting. Children line-drawing is the most direct expression of emotion for children. There will have many unique designs which could not be understood by adults when children use the pen to do graffiti without constraints. These unique designs brought infinite happiness for children.The unique expressive force of the line is not only favored by children but also gets attentions from many children education workers. This thesis adopts the practice experience summary method, observation method, the literature survey method and other research methods to have a study on children’s line drawing teaching at primary schools.First of all, it should be made clear that the mainly teaching tasks of children line painting are inspiring children’s potential of painting, protecting children’s enthusiasm of painting, enhancing children’s confidence, helping children go through difficult times of painting and developing children’s abilities of feeling beauty, appreciating beauty, exhibiting beauty and creating beauty according to primary students’ physical and mental development rules as well as the main characteristic of primary school painting. Second, this thesis aims to choose teaching material which is suitable for children’s line painting. It also has a study on teaching process and teaching methods, and then has a summary and reflection for them. Finally, it has an analysis for the teaching case. This thesis improves children’s aesthetic ability and humanistic quality through the unique charm of children line painting. It provides more vigor and vitality for children art education through a restudy on children line painting teaching methods.
